HASTINGS HOUSE
Salt Spring Island, British Columbia
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Plewman Construction is leading the development of a future hospitality destination at Hastings House on Salt Spring Island. The commercial construction project includes the initial cabin build along with the core infrastructure required to support development of the full site.
While the current plan includes six cottages, the infrastructure has been designed to accommodate up to eighteen in the future, allowing the property to expand its capacity over time. Each cottage will contain two suites, each with two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and seating areas designed specifically for tourism accommodation.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Hastings House project demonstrates Plewman Construction’s ability to manage complex hospitality developments and large-scale infrastructure planning. By future-proofing utilities and services for additional phases, the project ensures the property can expand efficiently without major future disruptions.
Earthworks and excavation were completed in-house by Subterra Earthworks, including major septic and site servicing.
